This website features a collection of larger-than-life roadside attractions from around the world.  All of the attractions on the lists have either been proclaimed as the world's largest, or are, by virtue of their uniqueness or size, in all likelihood the largest.   In some cases there are multiple listings for an item, because more than one of the item is claimed to be the world's largest.  At this time no effort has been made to verify which is truly the biggest. Both (or all) of the items are included.

A huge THANKS to all of you who have contributed suggestions, information, and photographs over the past several months. 

This is definitely intended to be an audience participation site. We're still looking for more "world's largest" suggestions to add to the list, more information on the attractions already on the list, and (especially) more photographs of some of these things!

Do you know of any roadside attractions that are the "world's largest" something? Can you help by sending a photograph of an attraction?

A few parameters:

• The object should be proclaimed as the "world's largest" something, or at least be unique enough to be, in all likelihood, the only one.
• We are looking for colossal roadside statues. We are less interested in real world's largest things, like bridges, trees, buildings, and stores.
• The object should be three-dimensional rather than flat.
• Before sending a suggestion, check the list to make sure it is not already included.
