One of the best reasons you need to visit Bayfield is to go to the Apostle Islands, especially during the winters, when everything is frozen and the caves breathtaking. You can hike over the frozen Lake Superior to go and explore the caves and see the ever changing ice formations.

The Apostle Islands are open throughout the year, but I highly recommend that you visit during the winters when the place looks like a winter wonderland.

I find sea caves really fascinating and visiting the Meyers Beach Sea Caves was both a thrilling and challenging experience.

The caves remain open all year and can be reached on foot or on a boat; in summers, you can go kayaking or paddling in the caves, take a night tour of Lake Superior as well as see the wreck of a ship. In winters, everything here freezes and if you want to see ice caves do not miss this place.

In this museum, you will find displays that exhibit the nautical history of Bayfield and the Apostle Islands. The best part is that the exhibits are really interactive where you can climb inside the boats displayed here or practice sailing knots among other things, which makes it a really fun and learning experience.

The museum opens from Sunday to Thursday between 10 am and 5 pm, and on Friday and Saturday between 10 am and 7 pm.

This beautiful trail remains open all year, and hiking here is such a breathtaking experience with the trail covered in greenery and wildflowers. It is also a popular spot for bird watching since the trees on the trail provide shelter to migratory birds.

The Marina is located on Lake Superior and is a popular spot among tourists since it is close to lighthouses, as well as the sandy beaches. Here, you can not only keep your yacht but also enjoy fishing, boating, go diving or take tours of the lighthouses.

It is also a great place if you just want to watch a beautiful sunset or walk on the beach. The marina opens from Monday to Thursday between 7 and 4 pm, and from Friday to Sunday between 7 am and 6 pm.

Visiting the orchard will give you a very unique and wholesome experience. Located on the shores of Lake Superior, the farm has been run and owned by the same family since five generations.

Here you can take the 'apple tour', explore the orchard and fields, taste their cider as well as homemade wines, salsa, jams and jellies and just spend a day with your friends and family. You can visit the farm in May between 9 am and 5 pm, everyday; from June to October, between 10 am and 5 pm every day.

This is a sustainable fruit and berry orchard located in the hills above Bayfield where you will find fruits like apples, pears, blueberries, currants, cherries, strawberries and so many more. If you are visiting in the fall season, make sure to attend the "Bayfield Apple Festival" held here.

You can also stroll through the orchards as well as buy fruits, jellies, jams and other handmade things from here. They remain open between 9 am and 5 pm.

This church is a historical building that was built in 1870 and designed in the Victorian Gothic and Carpenter Gothic Architecture style. The church is a very peaceful place surrounded by beautiful trees and plants.
