The United States is home to several cities that are known for their high crime rates and dangerous environments. Some of the most dangerous cities in the US include St. Louis, Missouri, which has the highest murder rate per capita in the country. Other cities with high rates of violent crime include Detroit, Michigan, Baltimore, Maryland, and Memphis, Tennessee. Chicago, Illinois, is also known for its high homicide rate, particularly in certain neighborhoods.
