The Northern Mariana Islands are a lovely group of islands between Japan and the Philippines that are tucked away in the Pacific Ocean. The trio that stand out from the rest are Saipan, Rota, and Tinian, all of which played significant roles in World War II. Remaining structures like bunkers and anti-aircraft guns are still visible today. Beach lovers, followers of water sports, outdoor enthusiasts, history buffs, and photographers will find these islands to be an excellent combination of natural beauty and historical intrigue.
